In the United States, the farm bill is the primary agricultural and food policy tool of the federal government. The comprehensive omnibus bill is passed every 5 years or so by the United States Congress and deals with both agriculture and all other affairs under the purview of the United States Department of Agriculture.

With an election year coming up the discussion on where farm bill dollars are going (and where they might go) is going to certainly be brought up. What do dollars go to? The Environmental Working Group Farm Subsidy Database http://farm.ewg.org/ has information to help. You may be opposed to the EWG but the database does work to help you learn more about where the dollars end up.
